
EXPLANATION OF HOUSING CHOICES
FOR 2008 IAIDO CAMP
There are three choices for
housing at this camp.
Choice 1 will be the choice of most of
the attendee given its attractive cost and easy access. This choice is $60 per day and gives
the choice of a single or double air conditioned dorm room with a shared shower
and toilet down the hall. BMC
undergrad school is for women only.
Therefore, some of the women’s toilets and showers will be relabeled for
use by men. Besides the room, the
$60 gives you 3 meals a day in the Haffner Dining Hall, and the right to use
the facilities of BMC including the gym.
It is a fairly small campus with the walk from the gym to Haffner taking
5-10 minutes. That is about as far
as you can go and still be on campus.
Choice 2 will be used by those who
prefer a hotel. Unfortunately,
there are not any affordable hotels that close to Bryn Mawr College (BMC). In near by King of Prussia Pennsylvania
there are many hotels to cater to the large number of business facilities in
that area. It is about 8 miles
from BMC but it is very easy drive to go from one to the other. The cost difference between the two
choices can be reduced by sharing a room at the hotel. The AUSKF rate applies to 1 to 4 in a
room in the Best Western Hotel in
Staying off campus will require a day pass to use the BMC facilities. To keep it simple, this pass also comes with a lunch ticket
giving a total of $25/day. This
must be paid to the AUSKF on the Seminar form. The hotel expenses are the responsibility person using
the hotel. So the total for
staying in the hotel is $140 plus the cost of dinner each night. By sharing with 4 in a room the cost is
reduced to $82.50.day plus the cost of dinner.
Choice 3 will
be used by those staying with friends or at home. They will still have to purchase the
